Type Holographic Sight Scope
Type Holographic Sight Scope
Do infantrymen buy their own optics or are they issued (EoTech's, Trijicon ACOG's, etc)?
I see many pictures and videos where men have EoTech holographic sights and ACOG type scopes on their rifles. I just didn't know if they were issued to some people or if soldiers payed the extra money for nice equipment like that.
They are issued if their units have them and see a need for their marines to mount them. EoTechs are about $500 dollars are basically pointless for all they are worth. ACOGs, are amazing but they cost usually between 1000 and 1800 depending on the type. No brand new Marine is going to have the money to just go out and buy them, not to mention coordinating with all of his buddies so that they can all get the exact same one.
