Tactical Rifle Scope
which model 700 remington sps rifle to get?

for primarily deer hunting & target shooting

pros n cons of em'

im looking to spend no more than about $1200 between rifle, scope, accessories.

after asking some questions ive narrowed my search to :

remington sps

reminton sps varmint

remington vtr

Remington M700P Light Tactical Rifle in .308 Winchester(this is what im going with i think)

anyone?



I own the sps varmint and the vtr, but if I was looking for something to hunt with and shoot at the range i would choose the tactical. The the vtr is a great rifle, but the extra barrel length and extra weight of the target size barrel seems to work better for me while shooting at long range. On the other hand i like the overall length of the vtr for hunting. For me it is easy to carry through the the brush while hunting. So i think that the combination of a heavy short barrel like the tactical would be a good choice.
