Sight Scope Rings
Mossberg 4X4 Rifle?

I recently purchased a new Mossberg 4X4 rifle in 25-06 and have had nothing but problems. I can't get a group at 100 yards to sight it in. 50 is no problem. I have changed ammo, scopes, scope rings, and even shooters. The rifle has been sent back to the factory for the second time. The barrel is supposed to be 100% floated but it rubs on one side and has a gap on the other near the front. I knew I was taking a chance on Mossberg, but I had heard that they had come a long way. I definitely won't buy another one.



If you know the fore-end is giving you problems, why don't you fix that and bed the thing so it won't move?
I've never been tempted with Mossberg, but if it makes you feel any better, I've had the same problem with the wood on a Remington 700 and a Ruger 77. The Remington, after some work, is now one of my better shooters.
