Is it easy to sight a rifle scope?
I recently bought a .22 Marlin Semiautomatic Rifle.. I would like to purchase a scope but i don't know if it's easy to put a scope on.. So i ask
Yes, almost anybody can put a .22 slide on mount scope on a .22 rifle. If you are buying a Walmart level scope like a Tasco or Weaver, just make sure the scope comes with already installed rings & mount set for the 3/8" dovetail already milled on the top of most .22 rifles like your Marlin. You just need to unpack the scope, loosen the screws on the lower clamp, and slide it over the dovetail pointing in the right direction (some recent poster put his scope on backwards). Slide the scope back & forth while sighting through it to adjust your eye-relief - your scope will have directions - and tighten the screws on the lower clamp. If you can read directions and have a decent screwdriver, anybody can do it. If you are talking about any fancier mounts & big centerfire style scopes & rings, you need better tools or a gunsmith.
