how much is this gun worth?
its a .243 WIN made by New England firearms it was manufactured in Gardner MA. USA it has markings on it that says Handi Rifle it has a synthetic stock and the rest is stainless steel it is a single shot and has a 8 Point scope on it. PLEASE HELP.... and do you think it would be a fair trade for a Winchester model 94 30-30.
The NEF Stainless Handi Rifle (made by H&R) comes only in .223 and.243 Winchester. In new condition it is worth about $340.00. Then you have to figure in the value of the scope. All of this together could cover the value of the Winchester.
However you don't give enough info about the Winchester. A pre-1964 model commands more money than the later ones do to manufacturing differences. Post 64 at going for around $450.00 in good condition. So if it is post 64 and you have good scope it's a good trade across the board. If the Winchester is pre64 take it and run, it's worth 3 or 4 hundred more, or even more depending on exact manufacturing date.
One last thing, The Winchester Model 1894 was discontinued in 2006 and it will increase in value over the years much more than the Handi Rifle. They are releasing some limited edition models next year and they start at around $1700.00. Be safe.
Edit: If you own the 1894 ask for $100.00 to boot.
