Scope Mount Platform
Featured Scope Mount Platform For Sale:
Is there a better way to mount a scope on an SKS than the reciever cover?
I have a yugo SKS and I read that the reciever cover is not a very stable platform and therefore does not result in better groupings than with the standard iron sights. Is this true and if so, what is a better way to mount the scope?

"Boker" is absolutely correct!
As an important aside, do not think that the scope is going to vastly improve the accuracy of your SKS! The SKS is an inherently inaccurate rifle. I was firing a match a couple years back, and the match director allowed a competitor fire his SKS, until he was "removed" from the match when his rifle was unable to stay on a 6' by 6' target at 300 yards!
I believe that of the two alternate scope mounts "Boker" told you about, the mount that replaces the rear sight would be the best. In order to use this scope mount successfully, you will also need a "Long Eye Relief" scope.
Good luck!
