savage 11 accuracy problems?
hello,
i got a new savage 11 .308 rifle last fall, i've got about 200-300 rounds through it but i just can't get any decent accuracy out of it. i've shot mil surplus, remington, winchester, even some handloads, but i can't get any decent groups. the best ive gotten in about 3 inches for 3 consecutive shots at 100 yards 
it sucks. i'm shooting from a bipod on a bench. i have a bushnell banner 3-9x40 scope on it i believe.
i'm not sure why i cant get good groups. my friend let me borrow some sand bags he had and i still couldnt get it to group. ive made sure the rings are tight and everything, ive cleaned it. i've let it cool between shots, i think ive tried just about everything. what should i do?? please help if you think you can. thanks.
If a "few someones", especially well experienced someones, can't get it to shoot either send it to Savage. They are a good company and will make it right.
I have a low opinion of bipods for accuracy. I prefer sandbags.
Google for marksmanship principles. It never hurts to improve ones technique.
