Now That I'm Going Enlisted, How Do I Get Picked To Be a USMC Sniper?

I've always been pretty good with scoped rifles, (pellet, airsoft.)
and I was wondering how you get picked to be a Scout Sniper in The USMC. I want to be like Carlos Hatchcock or Anthony Swofford.
I've never played Cod4 but I can see how that would influence it.

Jarhead made me want to be a sniper.
"rememberthecole" I meant rifles as a suffix.

'Airsoft rifles' Pellet GUNs.



Well first you will never get picked..But I know what you meant..

You first must be in the 0300 field, no exceptions..And then you must be in the Marine Corps for a short while. You cant get it right away..Maybe after your first deployment..You simply wait till they offer openings and you request to go to it if you meet all the qualifications at that time..

Here are the qualifications

Male, volunteer

0300-Infantry MOS.

E2 - E7(No officers).

expert rifleman.Minimum Requirements:

having a second class or higher swim qualification.

a first-class score on their Physical Fitness Test (PFT).

eye sight correctable to 20/20.

not colour blind.

no office hours.

Non-Judicial Punishments within 6 months.

qualify for a secret security clearance.

and posses a GT score of 110 or higher.
