Rifle Scope Camo
Which Remington model 700 rifle is the nicest or better choice?

I have it narrowed down to 3 different choices. I like them all. Which one would you choose & Why? Check them out at www.Remington.com What would be the difference between 30-06 & 300 mag? I am recommended 30-06. Would a 300 Remington Ultra mag matter? I will be adding a Leupold vx-II 3x9 scope to my final choice.

1.) CDL SF in 30-06
2.)XCR II Camo (Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation edition) - only comes in 300 Remington Ultra mag.
3.)XHR in 30-06
I'll be hunting deer, elk, if lucky moose. I'd like my rifle to be able to take down a bear if possible.



I'd buy the CDL SF personally. I like wood stocks.

The .300 Ultra Mag will have much more recoil than 30/06, be harder to find, and be much more expensive. Unless you will be hunting something that requires -much- power, skip it and buy 30/06.
