how do i know this scope will fit my gun?
i wanna get this airsoft gun http://www.airsoftstation.com/utg-master-sniper-airsoft-rifle-black-with-bi-pod.html and i have this scope http://www.hitguns.com/AIM-Rifle-Scope-4x30-Short-p/scope-4x30-short.htm how do i know if it will fit or not?
Most guns have what's called a picatinny rail or weaver rail which is your standard rail for mounting optics onto a gun. Both are practically the same except for the spacing of the gaps in between the slots.
Now follow along here and I'll explain to you how you can find if it'll fit.
**The entire rail system is called RIS (Rail Integration System or Rail Interface System). If you notice on the product description of the UTG sniper rifle it says "...trigger, receiver, ris rails..." So we know for a fact that this gun comes with the RIS rail system.
***If you look at the scope product description it says "4x30 Rifle Scope with rifle mount (RIS) Scope Ring (x2)..." So the scope rings that attach to the rail are indeed RIS. So the scope will fit on the rail that comes with the gun
Tips: The scope rings attach to the scope itself VIA hex (allen) screws. The scope rings attach to the rail system just by tightening the two knobs on the scope rings. Remember to leave some eye relief between your eye and the scope itself. Place the scope farther forward until your eye ISN'T touching the scope and you can see clearly through it without any blackness around your eye.
LONG ANSWER SHORT: YES IT WILL FIT
