The scope's tube is 1" in diameter, so you will need 1" rings in a medium height to allow the scope's front 40mm objective lens to clear the barrel and rear sight.

Just make sure the rings are meant for weaver style bases (which most on the market are that are intended for hunting firearms)

I have the same scope mounted on a highly customized Ruger 10/22.
