scope trouble Help Please?
My Dad bought a BSA Deer Hunter scope for his 30.06. when bought the new it came with a simmons Blazer (I think). The problem is that is mounting bracket is not big enough and the scope the front end is wide and rubs against the barrel . My idea was get a longer mounting bracket and if we have to drill it out to fit OR try to find scope rings that look like a 6. The bottom mounts to the plate and the top goes in the middle to connect to the scope . Sorry if you don't understand, its hard to explain. Do you have any suggestions
Most scope mounts come in low, medium, and high. If the scope has large lenses, you may need to go to the high mounts to accommodate it, or go to the see-thru scope mounts. Here's some information from Cabela's, but any gun shop will have them.
