Nikon Buckmaster Scope
Bushnell Elite, Nikon, or Luepold?

I am looking for a medium grade scope for my Ruger Hawkeye .270. I like the Bushnell Elite 3200 because it is American made. I also like the Nikon Buckmaster, and the Leupold VX II. Which would be the best for clarity, durability, and overall performance?



I have all three, I prefer the Nikon myself. They have proven to be a little more durable, but with the recoil on the 270, I really don't see recoil as an issue on any of the models you listed. The buckmaster has a sweet side focus on the higher magnification models. Believe it or not, the Bushnell Elite is a pretty dang good scope if you can get past the Bushnell name. It is not anything like their cheaper models. You will be happy with any of the three.
