Saiga 223/5.45x39 VS Stevens 200 in 223?
What one would you rather have for shooting steel gongs at 200 yards and 300 yards. And also where would i find the Saiga. I dont care what one is more accurate as long as they can hit a 1ft x 1ft gong at 300 yards. I like the idea of a semi-auto rifle but im not sure if it can hit that gong at that distance and i think there more expensive to. And how easy is it to mount a scope on a Saiga. I know the Stevens 200 can do it but if the Saiga can as well i will just go with the Saiga. And what is the price of a new Saiga in 223/5.45x39 and whats the price of a used one. One more thing would you rather have the 5.45x39 or 223. thanks
I'd buy the Stevens. A 12'' by 12'' gong at 300 yards is going to be a miss often proposition for the Saiga. The Stevens is also half the price.
I'd rather have .223. There is a much larger variety of loadings for .223 than 5.45x39. 5.45x39 is the ultimate in cheap ammo, but .223 can also be had for little $.
