Your favorite varmint rifle?
What's your favorite varmint/predator rifle, caliber and scope setup? Out of all the rifles I've fired, I think the Ruger M77 VT in .22-250 with a Leupold 6-24X40 scope takes the cake, wow, that was a sweet shooting rifle, a little heavy to lug around though, lol
I have owned and enjoyed several .22-250s over the years. My current one is a Rem. 700 - BBL- very good shooter. Does great on prairie dogs.
That being said the first Savage I have ever owned has recently become my go to firearm for prairie dogs. It is also the first .204 I have owned.
I enjoy them both, but I find myself reaching for the .204 more often (once it has cooled down).
