It's likely going to depend on the specific Xenon or Luxeon flashlight. Luxeon bulbs burn very brightly, but aren't particularly energy efficient. Xenon is much the same. The big draw for LED flashlights is that they're incredibly efficient. For example: with a pretty good 1 watt LED flashlight (like an Inova for example) you'll get around 20 hours of use off of a single set of batteries, versus about 4 hours for the luxeon equivalent. The LED flashlight will likely have more bulbs (around 5 for a 1 watt on average) whereas the luxeon or Xenon will probably have a single bulb.
