What scope for air rifle?
Scope hunting is a minefield (finding the right one that is). I need a parallax correct sight for 30yds, good light gathering, decent build and a modest zoom or prime lens for hunting. Not interested in mega-zooms. The gun's a springer (tx200HC) at 11.8 ft-lbs. Bushnell banner 6-12 x 50 seems good for the cash and I've heard good reports on Nikko and Walther scopes all of which seem good value. Cant afford anything over £100. What scope offers the best mix of functionality, build quality and is good for low light? Any recommendations? I have a Hawke 3-9 x40 MAP6 and its not good. Poor eye relief and parallax set beyond 30Yds so cant get a decent focus closer than this. Also very poor field of view.
Bushnell Banner is in that price range. If Nikko Stirling is in that price range, and you want a mil-dot scope, get it.
Look at the 4-12x42mm with illumination for low light.
