what kind of double sided tape can you use in the inside of rifle scope rings.?
i want to use a double sided tape in the inside part of my rifle rings. does anyone know of a specific kind that i can get from a hardware store.
Typically scopes perform best when rigidly mounted to the rifle. Why would you want to put a compressible material between the scope and rifle. That will probably give you at least a minute of angle of slop in your scope. You may want to get a FAT torque wrench and tighten your scope mount screws correctly. The way you are wanting to mount the scope, you might as well get some duct tape and duct tape the scope to the rifle.
