whats better a 3-9x40mm riflescope or a 1 x 28 mm red dot sight scope for a pellet gun?

whats better a 3-9x40mm riflescope or a 1 x 28 mm red dot sight scope for a pellet gun?
please i really need to know what is better : (



it depends on what you are using it for, the red dot sight is for things where you would normally use the sights and you need to be able to shoot at faster, the scope is if you want to be more accurate at a distance so if you normally shoot at closer things you wouldnt need the scope
