Why does my Air Rifle scope's crosshair lose its focus?
When i am zeroing in my rifle at about 15 yards, the target (a 22mm disc) becomes clear but my crosshair then loses all of its focus and i'm unable to take the shot in a safe manner.
Is it just my scope which is of poor quality or can i adjust it somehow?

If your scope is out of focus for the range that you are shooting which is not unusual for shooting a scope at such a short range; your eye will compensate for the lack of focus by compressing your eye's lens. But when your eye compensates for a lack of focus of the scope, it drives the focus of the cross hairs off. This is usually pretty obvious. If you look through the scope and can either focus on the target OR the cross hairs, but not both, then your scope is out of focus for the target range. Adjust focus using the focus ring until you can see both clearly.
When you are done close range shooting remember to re-focus your scope on infinity by repeating the above on a distant target.
