Acog Rifle Scope
How to use and read an ACOG scope (in real life)?

I just ordered an acog scope for my rifle. I wanted to know what the different markings and numbers on it mean...pretty much how to read it. For a picture of the actual read out through the scope, copy paste link. Please help.

The point of the red chevron should be zeroed for 100 yards the other lines are bullet drop lines and should be right on target at the given yardage if the scope is calibrated correctly.
For instance-calibrate the tip of the chevron for 100 yards and the next line should be a 400 yard hit.
